It could be a really is a ‘happy’ new year 2015 for many undocumented immigrants that they can now have a valid driver license. AB60 Driver License became in effect on Thursday January 1, 2015. AB60 or Assembly Bill 60 requires the department of Motor Vehicle or DMV to issue an original driver license to applicants, even though they are unable to submit satisfactory proof of legal presence in the United States. The undocumented immigrants still must meet all other qualifications for driver license application such as proof of identity and California residency.
